Random news about Posse and me

I just wanted to highlight a few things this week, so this is not an official blog.

1. A few weeks ago, I posted about my fear in the lead up to speaking at TED.  It truly was a terrifying experience, and if you want to see how it all turned out check my talk here.

Oh, and I really don’t mind if you vote for me too. Feel free to do so, and a nice comment would be awesome! I’d really appreciate that!

Our Beta Launch Party at Ziggy's Barber on Tuesday night

2. Posse’s Beta site launches today! Check it out to use the first phase of our Social Search feature. You can search by location and store type and we’ll return you results from friends, friends of friends and most popular. Next time you’re looking for a bar in San Francisco or a gym in Surry Hills, just refer to your Posse town to find all the best places recommended by friends and friends of friends. Today, retailers get their own dashboard so they can see what customers are saying about their store. Then they can thank the people who promote them. There are still lots of improvements and features on the way, but if you don’t have a street yet then support us and set one up. I’d love to hear your feedback.

3. We’re expanding again, hiring another exceptional engineer to augment the best startup tech team ever. They do work super hard. In fact, they were in the office all weekend preparing to launch our beta today. Check out the job description here.  If you think you’ve got what it takes, email alex@posse.com Be warned: Alex’s interviews are very tough and only a very small number make it through.

My normal blog resumes next week. I’ve started writing it, and my working title is, ‘Startup vs Corporate’.

Till then,
