I love stand up meetings, fast turnaround agile IT environments, geeky people who get the world. Great developers who understand creativity are worth their weight in gold. Making things happen is so rewarding, that's why I love databases that easy to reconfigure and mould to regular change as progress ramps up. Instant messaging in-house support is also a fav pastime. Funny trying to communicate with Elvis, though, he never answers ! Love your work ... keep rounding 'em up

All creativity goes for a six as soon as you start thinking about your employees as 'soldiers'. Startup people, those with a drive and passion of their own are usually hard to manage, and its a good thing to give them that leeway. That's what they are looking for when they come work for you, instead of the blue chip company they could go to.

Yep I subscribe to the mentality of hiring warriors. I often say I want "soldiers not mercenaries!". People that believe in the cause and want to do it, and can be employees or long term contributor as opposed to one-off contractors.

Hi we are at our start up phase too. Lucky for us we are Industrial Relations & HR Consultants providing solutions for employers. I can not imagine what it would be like having not only to do the start up but having to know all the rules and regulations (which have changed so much over the last 2 years). We are currently providing services in Darwin, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Adelaide and Melbourne. So we are not quite there yet....only Qld, NSW and WA to go.
Just wanted to say good luck in your endeavors and if you every need any help with the above please do not hesitate to contact us.
Cheers
