This is a lovely post, thank you for sharing. I can relate in so many ways. I think I should stop beating myself up for being an introvert and value the talents that I have.

Rebekah thanks for this post. I am a natural extravert (or perhaps I am what Daniel Pink calls an ambivert - moving between the two) and your tips are are still good advice for me.

You mention Susan Cain's TED Talk - I have just read her book 'Quiet' and I encourage Introverts to read it for more advice on living to your strengths. It's also a great read for Extraverts to help us build our flexibility in quietening down and enabling Introverts to shine.

Great article on a very personal topic for me. I had the impression you were more extraverted so this was a very interesting read. Thanks for sharing. I'm always intrigued by people who are introverted but good at public speaking!?

Fantastic article, thanks for sharing your personal experience's. It's stories like yours that inspire and create hope in those of us who think we are the only ones in the boat.

This article was incredible. Just looking at the pictures of these social events gave me anxiety. I am definitely an introvert myself. If I go to a networking event where everyone sits together and there is someone in charge that gets the group talking to each other, I do great and connect fairly easily. If I were to go into a room of strangers knowing I would have to go up to people I don't know, forget about it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Great article Rebekah!

MaiTai would have to be one of the most intimidating places in the world when you first go there. It seems everyone there is crazy successful, crazy athletic and then to top it off, super nice. I'd be surprised if anyone who goes there didn't feel a bit intimidated at some point!

Great tips!! You have perfected the art :)
